A NEW DAY
FOR STATS
Those of
you who may have visited here before know that I had a
modestly robust statistics section until this Spring. But
the MLS, in its wisdom and lack of funds, has cut both of
the stats programs I was using before, which showed monthly
stats, and has now gone to quarterly stats instead. Yep. I
know, I know. Not so good. How do quarterly stats help you
make a decision? I don't really think they do, but we have
been at the bottom of this market for so long now, that
perhaps they have outlived their usefulness. I could put up
Trulia or Zillow stats, but they are generally garbage and
backwards looking. Those site depend on Realtors (like me!)
to maintain their listings and sales on their sites to get
good stats, but Realtors are not so good at that sort of
thing, and the stats tend to show it.
